Joe Aliseo, a "B" man in Seattle, was killed last night while working the rail at APL (T-5).
In a freak accident that none of us can figure out, Joe was run over by the top pick and died instantly. Joe was a good man, a good worker, and the ILWU will miss him.
Please, brothers and sisters, take a minute to think about the dangers we face every minute on this job. Work safe so that you can go home to your families tonight.
An injury to one is an in jury to all.
